Yeats Yeats in Love: Songs, Poems and Letters
Saturday, March 13 at 2:00 PM
Nobel Laureate William Butler Yeats (1865 – 1939) is considered by many to be the greatest modern poet in the English language. Much of Yeats’ inspiration sprung from a tempestuous, haunted 30-year relationship with the beautiful and provocative actress and revolutionary, Maud Gonne. Through their letters and autobiographical writings, illuminated by song settings of Yeats’ best known poems and traditional music, Yeats in Love presents the story of a profound love affair that has left us an enduring and elevating literary legacy.
